I operate an LT50 Wood-Mizer Portable Sawmill with a 47.5 HP diesel engine. A high powered engine and quality hydraulics, combined with over 20 years of experience, allow for fast processing. I provide the sawmill and you provide the labor to move the material around.
What to ExpectI arrive at your site where you have your logs stacked in a pile similar to the picture below. I'll pull up parallel to the logs and then it's easier for you to roll them onto the hydraulic arms of the sawmill. You'll roll them using a cant hook or a peavey, which I supply.

For a Smooth OperationDepending on the number and size of logs, you'll generally want two people to get the job done efficiently. If you only have a few logs and we're cutting 1" lumber that's 8' long, one person is sufficient. When cutting 2" lumber that's 12' long, you'd want three or more people available. I can cut as fast as you can move the material around, so it's more cost-effective to have enough help.
